How Age Calculator Works
Calculating age precisely is more than a simple subtraction of years, because months have different lengths and leap years shift the day count. The calculator works it out as calendars actually do:
It starts by counting whole years between the two dates, then whole months within the remaining span, then whatever days are left over — correctly handling months of different lengths and leap years (like February 29) along the way.
